Modular Data Center - Draft Design
The Modular Data Center (MDC) is a fully integrated & engineered solution that comprises of five standard size containers to house each of the various systems that are required. All containers and the associated systems that are installed within them, are factory built and tested. By using standardized shipping containers, the MDC is easily transportable by road, rail & sea, and can be quickly deployed in a variety of environments globally.
The MDC will interface to a MVAC grid within the following ranges: 11-15kV, 20-24kV or 32-36kV; 50-60Hz. It leverages an 800VDC power supply architecture for the AI racks, and will provide between 6 - 10 MW of computing power capability. Included within the design are validated proprietary solutions for AC/DC power conversion, DC circuit protection and DC fault isolation.
Each container houses dedicated sub-systems, facilitating segregation of access by system type for streamlined maintenance and support. This solution contains power conversion, computing, battery packs, fire suppression and cooling systems, as well as all other associated systems that are required.
The MDC is designed to operate in -40C to +50C ambient temperature conditions, and the 6 - 10MW output can be scaled in increments to achieve the compute power level that is desired. To improve redundancy levels, it can be configured to a Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV system as shown, and is designed to meet NIST, NEC, IEC, BS, DIN & JIS standards.
